yea i do have two frontiers,

and this serious does suck as petty theft like this just leaves me to fork out money i really dont have right now... kinda insult to a larger injury...

It was a bolt on cat for that frontier so i'm guessing with a power tool its like a 45 second job... i'm considering bolting and welding it on and asking them to perhaps toss another plate over it or something... that or just selling the old thing....

Is it possible to buy similar cats and just welding it on from a shop? Will that let me pass smog check? (the only reason i really care actually)

Sorry to hear about that. Cats and gas seem to be the things to steal anymore. Either way I'd love to catch them in the act.

Agreed. Even if they get caught, the penalty is so low.

Hell now I'm thinking about tack welding a couple of carefully placed razor blades to my cat... If they are gonna take em, their going to earn em.

Isn't there any skid plates that cover their location (ie shrockworks, etc)?

There is a few people that I know that have had theirs stolen as well and it kind of scares me, but I have a garage that is covered by the home security system so that gives me some reassurance. I know hook up an additional battery so that it grounds to the exhaust system somehow that way if anyone tries to steal it they get shocked to heck
