I have the same problem, Every once in a while I will go to close the roof and it will reopen after shutting, I hit the button again and it shuts fine. I open my roof everyday that it is not raining and it only acts up about once every 2 weeks. By the way I have an 2007 CC Nismo.

happened to me once. never figured out why but it was months ago. my bro had a similar issue with his 2002 maxima. he said there was some sort of reset procedure (pushing the button and holding for some period of time or something t that effect) and that helped. never happened after. if i get a chance, ill try to ask him about it.

most sunroofs ecu/modules are rest by doing this, press the vent up button, release then press and hold till it "flitches" on Nissan thats it, on some others you then press the retract or open and it goes all the way back and closes and is reset, but if you do this and you keep having problems it usually needs a new module/motor. But make sure the tracks are cleaned and lubed as anything that binds it like debris or dry tracks causes the motor/ecu to see higher than normal amp draw and it reverses so that either your fingers/head dont get chopped off of the motor is damaged cause your friend is hanging his dumbazz head out the top yelling at the girls in the car next you as you think it would be hilarious to close it on him at the same time(it would be)

i have had this happen a lot.. see what BRUTAL said about what is happening with the resistance problem

i will just bump it a bunch of times, because if you hit the button and then hit it quickly again it will stop so just keep doing that til it slides down past the roof. this is also hand if you want to slide it open only like half way, bump the button then bump it again where u want it to stop..

I think this is caused when the metal roof heats up or gets cold and it changes shape slightly or something so it just gets it the way enough to cause some resistance..
