back in 2001 when my mom bought her pathfinder new (don't have it anymore though) they had a section on the new car brochure with the xe,se,and le trims, from what i recall the xe was the essentail edition, and se was sport and le was luxury, she had the le and that thing was pretty loaded minus navigation and whatever else was optional. my xe has everything i need plus i just upgraded my sound system so no nned for the RF system, its got the PW,PL,PS,automatic. im happy with it.

Well I have a 4x4 XE Crew Cab, Long bed, power locks, power windows, V6, no S/C :0( Just my 2 cents also. Hmm what are we up to now? 50 cents?

Nissan is really demoting their trims that used to mean something. The 05+ Frontier with SE trim is like the 1st gen frontier XE.
I was looking at 2nd gens the other day and was disappointed when I saw that the SE's don't even have power options. I was thinking, wow, my '03 is an SE and it's fairly loaded. Everything except leather, 4WD, the s/c, and the RF amp which only came with the s/c, I think. God I'd hate to have a 2nd gen XE...having to flintstone brake must suck...lol I know SE stands for both sport edition and special edition depending mostly on the model. For the most part, I think Nissan's trim means sport ed.

XE stands for (X)plorer (E)ater.....LOL!!!!!!!! J/K! I just tease ford all the time because lots of my buddies drive fords...

yeah i thought the xe in the 2nd gen models had a v6 option due to the 1st gen models did, now the only engine you can get is a 4 banger and if im not mistaken 2wd, mine has a v6 and 4wd and some pretty good options that even the sport models have, if my mirrors were painted to match the truck i'd have an se model.
