Locking Differential Demo

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-rQTHMVAuw

Thought I would share this video. I didn't reailize that an open diff and limited slip diff seem to be the same thing. I think all trucks should come with a locker standard from the factory after watching this.

I like being able to select when my locker is on....but it does make a good argument for a locker.

a good aftermarket limited slip, like the truetrac that fits the M226, will do much better than the LSD they demo'd. proof positive that factory LSD's are nothing like aftermarket LSD's. cool vid tho, wish they'd show how it works internally... that's the fascinating part

theoretically, tho i doubt our ABLS could control it that much... it might help but like the truck with the factory LSD, it wouldn't make it much further in that instance... that's a pretty extreme loss of traction, usually even off-roading isn't that bad

I dunno...I have gone through some deep snow in my truck...around 8-10 inches. abls was working like crazy. Haven't come across any of those roller thingies in my Frontier so I don't know...
Why not show it on a real hill?? I dunno if I was driving , I would have gone around those rollers anyway...

Makes me wonder how well a rear locker compares to 4x4 with LSD...
