By the way, we considered a pathfinder until I tried out the back seats. I tried for about 2 or 3 minutes to get comfortable and simply could not do it. So, I would have to say that the frontier CC has better rear seating.
Well, as stated, when we first got the truck, it was a trip from KC, MO to just south of Evansville, IN in KY (Approx 7 hour drive). The wife didn't peep and I was actually surprised.

Recently on a trip from KC, Mo to Pittsburg, KS (about a 1.5~2 hr drive) I got complaints. Then on a trip from KC, Mo to Salina, KS (about 2.5~3 hr drive) again the complaints came.

Figured it was the wife, but had the boss and supervisor in the backseat for a period of approx 6 hours, and around hour 4 there were some comments that it was too upright and probably wouldn't be a choice if given next time.

So, I figure around a 1~3 hour window on the backseat for adults, while kids (especially if they know no different) might not complain at all.

When I was back there, my solution was to fall asleep. It just sits upright a tad too much for my taste. I think if the bottom of the seat could kick forward maybe 1" it might be enough to make the seat drastically more comfortable. I think when the manufacturer's say things like "comfortably seats 5 adults, they are thinking along the lines of a trip out to dinner and a movie a few miles up the road. I tend to drive to my destinations be they near or far. FWIW, I was also terribly uncomfortable in the backseat of a newer styled Chevy Impala. That was torture given the lack of foot room and the odd angle of the seat. It isn't like I am tall either at 5'8".

As a side note, if I were to have the option of any truck again, I would again choose the mid size class and most likely go toward a 4 door cab. I think what I have found is that if there is more space, something will fill it at some point, and it's always better to have more than less.

I love my crew cab. Its great for taking people. My parents didn't have any complains when I took them for a ride the day I got it. I also like folding the back seats down so i can put my bro's dogs back there when I take them to the park. Cause I let them swim and then I don't have to worry about muddying up the seats. I would put them in the bed, but the are dumb and would jump out while i'm going down the freeway at 60mph.

I also like having the covered storage in the back
