I love my KC.

Just think 10 years ago, the debate would have gone something like this.

Hmmm, regular cab, or King Cab? I cant decide! but the king cab has sooo much space!

I wish we could get 4 real doors like the Superduty's do.

So far it seems everyone is jumping on the CC bandwagon. I own a CC. When I first got it, the wife was happy riding in the back (new baby). Recently, all I hear about is how uncomfortable the back seat is. I have ridden in the back, and it sits too upright for my liking. On a long trip, the thing would be torture, but LESS torture than a KC. Around town, it is probably the cat's meow. So, while others a tooting the CC horn, rest assured, that on a LONG ride in the back seat, you will get complaints from passengers (and yes, I have heard complaints from other than just the wife).

You have to really decide what you want/need a CC for. If a KC has suited your needs, but seems a bit cramped, a CC would be the next logical step. I came from a 99 S10 reg cab, and always hated the 4 door look on trucks, but now it has grown on me.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm still debating the situation. I don't really need the CC, but it'd be nice to have. Having the long bed CC would be a problem with parking though... hadn't thought of that.

I guess it all depends on my trade in value vs cost of new CC

Versatility of the CC is hard to beat. Having said that, you asked for input so..

A LWB CC is is considerably longer in wheelbase and therefore turning, parking etc is considerably more challenging. Try before you buy. If you do allot of tight parking/city driving , you might not like it. An option would be to get a SWB ( or keep what you have) and get a trailer. The cost difference is only like $700 but options change from the LWB to SWB models so pay attention.
BTW, You can stuff a 8" shallow sub under the front seat of your KC if you don't have your heart set on a particular brand/location already.

A friend of mine has a Dodge 2500 crew cab (not the mega cab) and strangely enough, his back seat space is really not any bigger than my Frontier CC. I would guess that the difference in space is so small that the only thing he gains is slight recline advantage on the vertical part of the back seat.

Of course, I realize that the back seat area on the Dodge 2500's is rather small compared to the other full size brands.

ffips, I only take short trips with people in the back. I have sat back there for short periods and while the upright back is noticeable, it did not seem uncomfortable. Can you define what you consider a LONG ride that might cause complaints?

By the way, we considered a pathfinder until I tried out the back seats. I tried for about 2 or 3 minutes to get comfortable and simply could not do it. So, I would have to say that the frontier CC has better rear seating.

Really? Wouldn't I have to remove the rear AC for that in a KC?
