Figured I'd add my IPDM story here. Last week my truck died at a red light. I never had any indication that the IPDM was going bad, it just flat out died. If I tried to restart it, it would turn over and might fire for a few seconds very slowly (like it was dieseling) but it would die pretty quick. So I had my truck towed to my house and hit the forums looking for an answer.
Found out about the IPDM and the bad relay, also found out that if you switch the bad relay with the one that controls your fog lights, it will start up and you can probably limp home. So I tried that, and it worked! Problem is, that relay will fail at some point so you need to get the right part. So I called my dealership to see about that recall. The guy on the phone new exactly what I was talking about, and told me Nissan sells just the relay now for $2.18. Luckily he knew what I was talking about, because he said it's not even in the parts catalog but he knew all about the problem.
So I picked one up and one for my mom's 05 Pathfinder, figured it'd be a good idea to replace her's just in case she get's stranded somewhere...and why not for only $2! Truck's running like a champ now! And my P430 code has been gone for a week, but it intermittently went out and came back in the past, so only time will tell if it stays out. I haven't seen anyone mention that just the relay is now available from Nissan, so I figured I'd spread the news for the next person this happens to. Two bucks and a 5 minute fix is much easier then the entire IPDM.
FYI, my truck is an 05 and this happened at 148k miles.

New guy???!! I've been here just about as long as you. I just stopped posting a few years ago when other hobbies (sport bikes, dirt bikes, guns, and home ownership) starting taking away mod money from the Frontier. I only log in to troubleshoot now. Or share my findings. You're welcome.
EDIT: The TSP did call for replacing the entire panel. I don't know if there's a new TSB or not. But I do know Nissan was spending $200 on a new panel, plus labor, to replace the entire panel under recall when in reality only the relay was bad. So they got smart and starting offering the new relay as a stand-alone part, which is as easy to replace as a fuse.

So, I just completed my order of timing chain parts and bits, when I see this IPDM relay listed in a miscellaneous collection of parts, at the Courtesy Nissan site. Makes me wonder why. Did a search, read a Titan and Frontier form thread, and decided I had better get a couple of these rascals.
Those that support and provide meaningful information, you guys are appreciated.
Thanks.
