Hypertech inline speedometer calibrator module

I saw mention of this on another forum. Has anyone used it or does anyone know if it actually works with our trucks?

Nice find. They do have a part number for us (which as you know is rare), something that is definitely worth looking into, I'd much rather have correct readings (plus technically I need something like this to have anything other than stock tires)

(at $230, I'll do the calc in my head I think) (only found one place with a price so far but I'm going back to playing Dirt, maybe I'll look more tomorrow)

i just ordered mine for a little over 200 bucks and will let you know how it works. I cant stand everything being off and the odometer racking up more miles than actual. worth every penny to me.

You can use it on your stock truck too, with your stock tires. The speedometer is fast by about 3mph. I've GPSd mine going down the interstate, speedo says 80, GPS says 77.5ish.

I had something similar on my last truck when I went from 32's to 35's. When I put on the 35's without the device, my speedometer was way off. That also caused my MPG to decrease big time. It wasn't just because they were heavier, but because larger tire sizes will throw off the computer and that will cause it to pump more fuel in the engine. After I installed the device and recalibrated it to the new tire size, my speedo was corrected and even my mpg went back to almost what I was getting before with the 32's. Highway was very close and I hope that this device will work when I install 33's.

Nissan allegedly does that on purpose to make your warranties run out faster. I believe there is a class-action lawsuit regarding that exact matter.
