stockers....

Tire: 265/65/17 General Grabber AW
Miles: 36,004
Rate: 2/5
MPG: 16 City/22 Highway.
Comment: The usual stuff from the General. Long tread-life, but terrible grip on anything but dry pavement (just don't get these tires wet and you'll be ok! LOL). 36k on these stock tires (mostly highway) and they probably have 1/3 tread left. I'm going to do burnouts to justify new tires by spring because I can't stand them anymore.
Do You Recommend These Tires?: No

Past/Previous Tire Experience?: Had General Grabbers on my 2WD 1994 S10 (again, they came with it) with the same result.

Tire:Maxxis Mudder
Miles:38,000
Rate:4/5
MPG:16/19
Comment? Keep them rotated often or they will feather and roar like crazy. But they get great grip in mud, snow, ice, and wet pavement.
Do You Recommend These Tires?:Yes!

Past/Previous Tire Experience?:This is the 4th set of these tire that I've owned. The other ones were on a 98 f-150. I get the 8 ply ones and have never(knock on wood) had a flat and I drive over some rough stuff.

I've also got the Long Trails, I wouldn't say they are a horrible tire, at least you get white lettering I wouldn't say it's a great tire either. I would say they are right in the middle.
You are always giving up something to get something. With BFG Long Trails, you get pretty good mileage, as well as low road noise. You are obviously giving up some grip, off road capabilities.

My next tires may be a set of Toyo Open Country A/T because I haven't heard anything bad about them yet.

Tire: 265/75/16 BFG Rugged Trail
Miles: 3500
Rate: 3/5
MPG: 16 City/22 Highway.
Comment: These are typical of what I would expect from the factory. With the way i drive off road, i'll puncture them before i wear them out. Will replace with Maxxis Bighorns or Buckshot Mudders, 8 ply.
Do You Recommend These Tires?: for street driving or dirt roads, yes. For anything else off road...no.
