there are alot of things that dont have replaceable batteries. actually, most batteries are replaceable, you just gotta glue the thing back together.

so youd rather run the tire really stiff in the summer, with the potential of over inflation if the temperature rises enough...so you dont get the light in winter?

oh i forgot.. nobody likes to check their tire pressures more than once a year. silly me.

TPMS problems solved!!!!one!!!one

But no, really. I didn't bother putting the sensors in my aftermarket rims, and then took a small piece of electrical tape, removed my gauge cluster, removed the trim, applied the tape over the light, and put everything back together. No more bullsh!t TPMS. If you have any common sense, you check your tire pressure every month or so anyway.

there-in lies the problem. people DONT have the common sense to check their tires once a month. most people, not as much on this forum but in general, dont check their tire pressures monthly..they do so yearly. or when the light goes off.

even then. most customers ive seen expect that the light coming on must be some sort of fault with the system..and not due to change in weather due to climate. certainly their tires cant be low in november, they were JUST filled up back in july.

The light is for the interval in between checking your tire pressures.

No, you have me mistaken - I said THIS time of year. I have to run the tires in the WINTER at 40psi (its was 9 degrees this morning) to avoid the TPMS light coming on. In the spring, summer and early fall I run the stock 35psi. I do check my tires at every fill-up, and adjust according to the seasons. So yes, silly you....

I replaced all of mine with regular valve stems. The aluminum stems on the TPMS are prone to corrosion and leaking, and it seems like the schrader always seizes up inside of them. To fix the light, I filled the hole in the combination gauge with RTV silicone last time I had it apart. I'm a stickler for tire pressure, so I didn't feel the system was necessary....
