Headlight bulb retaining/locking ring

Anyone know where I can purchase new headlight bulb retaining/locking rings? The dealership said they can't be purchased separately and only come with a new housing...

you could try a junk/salvage yard. other than that you might be able to get one off ebay or a real good auto parts store.

Check courtesy parts, I actually need a few, and found them on there. The actual part number if you go to courtesyparts.com is 26029MB. I've even thought about heading to the dealer with that part number and seeing what they could find.

sounds like bullsh*t to me. why would you need to buya whole light housing for a little plastic ring?

I also cracked one of these rings while changing a bulb. I wasn't forcing it either! I'll have to call courtesy sometime soon to see if they can track more down. I managed to get my bulb locked into place with the remnants of the ring, but I'll need a new one if I ever have to change my headlight bulb again.

I just inquired about this part...actually I ordered it and put in the notes that I was ordering for the Frontier...they canceled my order stating it only fits the 05-10 Xterra

2 x [26029MB] COVER-SOCKET - Xterra (N50) 2005-2010 but they look exactly like the ones on the fronty. Does anyone else know if these will fit?

Even though the link is for Pathfinder; the exploded view showing the retainer ring sure looks like the ones on my 2008 Frontier.
