Got warrenty work?

Just got a call back that they are not going to fix my exhaust leak. At the flange behind the cats. They said my aftermarket exhaust voided it. I asked him if the leak was between to factory nissan parts, with no modifactions before it. He said yes and that I have to talk to the service manager. I think they are being lazy...

just a muffler...

I get to go talk to them in person now, and pick up my truck, I think I'm going to just remove the flanges all together...

adding a muffler will not void the warrenty of the exhaust. it would only effect the muffler and the pipe after that. if the leak is before it should still be nissans problem.

I agree, from what I have read here, this is still Nissan's problem. There is some kind of law, call Moss-Magnussen, or something like that, that is supposed to cover things like this. Don't take no for an answer.

This was mostly a test to see if this dealer is friendly enough to buy performance parts from. They are a authorized stillen dealer also, lets just say my money is going to stay in my pocket and go else were.

Ohh and they wont touch my truck for any warrenty work unless its a 100% nissan. What pissed me off is everyone went home a 4:30 and the service department open till 6pm... I get off work at 5 so if I go over there again they are not going to waste my time.

they have to do any warrenty work .they cant refuse to do work just because of some mods. tell them they will fix it or you will hire a lawyer and have him speak with nissan. there tune will change. the only way they shouldnt cover warrenty work is if what ever broke is due to a mod and they have to prove the mod caused the damage.

Well I know that I'm just not going to waste my time, I can fix it for $2 and ten min, they had my truck for half a day already. This was 100% testing the waters before I install my next toy, I know how much I'm going to have to make removable.
