Fluid Change Cost

How much did it cost you for a automatic transmission fluid flush/change, brake fluid change, rear end fluid change? Also how old was your truck and how many miles did you have when you did it?

I just did mine today. I did the front and rear dif (3 qts royal purple) at about $30.00 I also did the transfer case (2 1/8 qts Valvoline dexron at like $12 total, Then the engine (5.5 qts of Q synthetic) at I think $30.00 . I had to buy a hex key for the rear diff, the upper one is 14mm, I have a C200. Not counting that and the permatex sealer, shop towels hand cleaner and stuff it was around $72 doing those myself. I also did the oil and rear dif on my pathfinder. I'm going to have the transmission on the pathf done at the dealer though. Especially if it's only $112 like the post above, it has 47k on it. My fluids looked pretty good although there was a bunch of metal on the drain plug and in the fluid itself. My frontier only has 27k on it.

It's closer to $200 at my dealer for a transmission flush. The fluid alone is close to $100. They use BG Universal synthetic ATF. I haven't had a transmission flush yet though. I changed my own differential oil and will replace my brake fluid in July. I curently have just over 20,000 miles on the truck.

Thanks for the link Zero. I had never heard of BG products. I did a search for a shop in my area and the results were a Toyota dealer, a Chevy dealer, a Ford dealer and 2 Chrysler dealerships. Must be good stuff, do ya think?????

You're welcome. My favorite Nissan tech (Frontier2) told me they use it in Titans and he also uses it in his Frontier. I would say that it's a good product based on that and others BG products I have used.
