a while back i asked ?'s about doing the switch and i finally did it, so far the engine runs alot smoother, RP is nice oil but so far i like the amsoil alot better.

I used the Royal Purple they sell at my local Wally World. It cost around $6.72 a quart when I bought it. I haven't priced it lately. I paid $77 for my first case of Amsoil and $88 for the second case. The filter was $15. I will do the annual oil change now.

my filter is ea013 and take 3.5 qt. im assuming the vq40 takes 6?, i think amsoil is a better bargain than the RP, my RP was dirty as hell at 5500 miles, i hope the amsoil last longer than that.
