Exclamation Facts From Amsoil regarding how it works compared to other synthetics and con. oils!

http://www.synthetic-motor-oil-chang...g-competitors/

Check out this link to see how Amsoil compares to other leading oil brands out on the market.

For the most part Amsoil dominates...However, according to Amsoil's tests Castrol Syntec is second place most of the time! I am happy to hear that...Cause most of the people I talk to down here in FL tell me Castrol Syntec is one of the best...According to Amsoil's tests, this is quite true...Mobile 1 Synthetic is another of the big ones....Royal Purple is not on the list.

Although, I am fairly loyal to castrol. I've used it in all my cars and it works great. My mom's old Sentra lasted 180,000 miles before I finally traded it in on my Frontier...GO CASTROL!!!!!

Again, though. For the most part, Amsoil dominates all the others....especially on the first test...Check it out folks!!!!

Well granted sometimes companies place their products in more "friendly" conditions so that it fairs better than the other products...BUT! Since I am more interested in the Castrol Syntec, there is no incentive for Amsoil to make Castrol look good.

So Castrol must be one of the better brands....according to their test, whether Amsoil is really better or not....They have no reason the pick Castrol out of ALL the other brands to make 2nd place. So I believe that the Castrol Syntec is good stuff....Thats all I cared about...

Amsoil has a guaranteed drain interval. What do the other synthetics have?

Happens with perscription drugs all the time. I think there should be legislation guarding against misleading information.

I'd say odd that Royal Purple is not tested because it is more of a competitor than say quaker state or valvoline

odd.....

mobil 1

Mobil 1 has a drain interval, read the bottle, and they have extended drain oil. I agree you cant trust a report from amsoil saying there oil is the best. I heard somwhere that castol synthetic is one of the worse. You need studies from test companies who dont make oil. I think most synthetics are probally pretty close to doing the samething, give or take a small amount.

I don't have a bottle to read. I was reading on their website where there was an extended interval oil for 15,000 miles for the Mobil 1 extended performance.. I didn't see anything for Mobil 1 other than the maximum owner's manual recommendation. Amsoil has a 15,000 miles/1 year severe service and 25.000 miles/1 year normal service interval when using their oil filter.
