Exhaust mani supposed to look like this?

Just got truck back from the stealer. Here are some pics of the engine area. Can anybody tell me if the exhaust manifolds (i believe thats what they are) are supposed to look like that. To me it looks a little crushed and scratched and one bolt seems to be missing. I started looking after I noticed one of the hose lines not clipped in and this is what i found. Thanks.

That part is the exhaust manifold shield. A bolt is missing in the first photo, and it should not be crushed and scratched.

The missing bolt will cause a rattle and the scratches will cause rust sooner or later. Since the dealer screwed it up, I would be all over them to get it replaced.

What was the dealer doing to your engine? If they caused it, make them replace it. They might be able to get the shields out to replace them or they may snap the heads of the bolts off so you might be able to talk them into a nice price on a set of Nismo Headers since they might have to remove the headers to remove the bolts. Just a thought thou.

This is all after they basically stole $1450 from me replacing my clutch, and add a thousand dollar rental fee that they gave me a free voucher for. I wonder what else is missing or put together wrong? Filed complaint with Nissan again. I wonder when they are going to start believing me and realize this dealer is out for blood.
Thanks for the info on the manifold shields. Happy trails.

It's just the heat shield to the exhaust manifold.

Yeah those are the heat shields. I thought those were aluminum though, so they shouldn't rust. They definately f'd em up though. Make them replace them. I would see what the can do for a price on the Nismo headers for sure if you got the money for them, they have to get in there any way.
