Does our truck have key fob window control?

Does our truck have the option of having the windows being controlled by the unlock button. I know a lot of vehicles have that feature for rolling them down. Just curious.

I do not believe so. The Titans do, they just have to hit unlock and then hit it again and hold it for them to go down or something like that. It would be a nice feature thou.

There are a couple threads on aftermarket options. I believe Brutal was the one who accomplished it first. Search for "auto down" or "automatic up/down" something like that. Someone else who talks about Jaguars did it too.

Brutal did do the Auto Up/Down windows but I don't think it will work with the key fob.

Thats different. A lot of vehicles come standard with this option I might stop by nissan today and see if they can program it to do it. I know a couple people whose infinitis do this with the same keyfob as ours, I just need to see if the truck can be programmed to do it.

As you read through all of Brutal's post, he discusses why it cannot be done with factory parts from the Pathfinder. It's because the Pathfinder has a completely different BCM than the Frontier. Meaning, the key fob the Pathfinder uses that is identical to our keyfob, is communicating with a different part internally (the BCM).

Guarantee it won't work, factory at least.

Brutal did the mod so that he had "auto" windows from the switch and not the key-fob, right?

Z is looking to be able to hold down the unlock button on the key fob and having the windows go down automatically from the outside.

I understand that's what he is trying to do. What I'm saying is that it cannot be done with factory equipment (even equipment from the Pathfinder; read here: Pathfinder Switch compatibility?).

However, it can be done with aftermarket equipment.

The first link is in reference to the regular auto up/down and not the key-fob.

The second link mentions that it can be an option but Brutal did not say he actually did that option. He mentions that he can if he want to so I guess if you go aftermarket you can get it to work.

The question still remains, can the dealer reprogram the computer to recognize a short unlock followed by a long unlock on the key-fob to result in unlocking the doors and also rolling the windows down?
