No real data to back that up, the titan drive train hasn't been having the problems its more the rest of the truck.

They said my Trooper was going to be really reliable. I guess I proved them wrong.....

As already pointed out, it's an apples to oranges comparison. Until the day comes where I get a 30 foot cabin cruiser, the Frontier will suit my needs better than the Titan

I have been researching the Titan alot as it will be my next vehicle. I am a member of CT.org but currently spend more time here.

The common problems on the Titan are:
In '04 and early '05 they had brake problems. That was fixed.

In '05 and '06 they had problems with the off road versions dropping rear ends because of a problem with the rear locker. That is supposed to be fixed for '08.

That is really the only two common problems I have come across in almost 3 years of researching.

The 2nd gen Frontiers common problems as I have seen on here are:
Front differentials

Rock chips in various places...especially the rear fender.

Rattles, squeaks, and thumps in many different places such as seats, hood, rear end, bushings, etc.

Bottom line: They are both great trucks that have had very few problems and most of the problems have been fixed for upcoming years.

If you want to compare problems in one vs. the other though the Frontier has had many more TSBs and such than the Titan has.

I love both though!

I bought my fronty for a future trail vehicle, and i didnt want to pay for a fullsize or have to deal w/ it. But if i ever needed just a full size.. id get a titan. And I need one now! too much towing for the fronty.. that or get an 08 superduty
