check your torsion bars, make sure the splines are all good and the anchor or whatever that part i called is on properly and tight

Several people have this problem (or at least a similar problem) and there have been some threads on it. My truck does it when I am turning left and going over uneven pavement. It really only does it in the winter so it is temperature dependent ... at least for me. Though I would describe it more as a pop, groan or squeak. Can't really remember as it has been a while since I heard it and all that is coming to mind right now is the sound of the ABS self check.
I don't think anyone ever really figured out exactly what is causing it, though some people did figure that it seems to be related to the front torsion bar. Last edited by Jumbo : 05-22-2008 at 01:32 PM. |

I was thinking that it was torsion bar related.

the linkage from the sway bar to the LCA was my popping sound, I had to tighten it.
