CRACK! Nissan OEM Tail Light Options? Aftermarket Is Cool Too.

My truck is really taking a beating these days.

The wife just emailed me a photo of damage that occured minutes ago. Apparently she didn't see the parking meter as she reversed.

I'm not really belly-aching about the minor damage... It should make her a more alert driver. I'm always urging her to be more watchful and it annoys her... A cheap lesson, but a necessary one.

My bigger concern is just getting the light housing replaced.

I've checked YourNissanParts and I see the OEM replacement is ~$85 (before the CF discount)

Anyone know of another source for OEM tail lights that I should consider?

Or maybe you'd like to recommend some aftermarket lights. I'm willing to go non-stock and swap both out at once - for the right price / look.

Thanks.

I heard at one point that advance autoparts or autozone were selling salvage parts... if that is true... check there.

Or go to the aftermarket LED

I'd be more p'oed over the gash above the light, that'll be a nice chunk of change to fix

coulda been worse:

Got my new OEM tail light for $132CDN taxes in.

was considering getting aftermarket LED off ebay for 300/pair. Works out pretty close to OEM pricing, and you coulda had my RH light for the cost of shipping

Use some tape to make it red before you fix the back quarter panel. Once you've got that fixed up, then get some LED tails.

Like eglasi said, it could've been worse, doesn't mean it doesn't suck though. I feel your pain.

Those "worse" photos look painful. I hate to see Frontiers in such states.

I'm just gonna have to live with it. Maybe I'll touch it up to match the color... but that's about it.
