Correct, denser air just means more atoms per volume (thus more oxygen), volume is determined by the size of the container, so unless the motor is literally growing, we all have 4liters, lol.

ALRIGHT I KNOW YOU AND STEVE ARE AT TIMES TECHNICAL STICKLERS, WERE NOT REFFERING TO VOLUME OF AIR AS IN CHANGE OF DISPLACEMENT, MORE BEING SARCASTIC ABOUT POWER OUTPUTS, YOU KNOW FEELS LIKE A 5.0 WHEN COLD AT SEA LEVEL, AND LIKE A 3.0 WHEN IN BOULDER ON A HOT DAY....
BUT YOU KNEW THAT DIDN'T YOU

At -50 deg F, a 4 liter engine will draw in 25% more Oxygen as compared to +50 deg F. It should be able to generate 25% more power.

On the other hand, it takes +177 deg F temperature to reduce the Oxygen intake by 25%.

SEE THAT MAKES IT FEEL LIKE A 5.0, AND GO SEE PENSKI IN AZ FOR THE 177 DEG. ALTHOUGH NONE OF THIS TAKES INTO ACCOUNT BAROMETRIC PRESSURE WHICH CHANGES THIS AS WELL.

I've seen intake temperatures here hotter than 177F

On a typical day in Denver the 4.0 liter would be a 3.3 liter.

On a hot Denver day, 100 deg F, the 4.0 liter would be 3.0.

On a hot Colorado Springs day, 100 F, if one ascends Pike's Peak, you end up with a 2.5 liter, if it is still hot at the top.
