Can someone confirm this OEM oil filter is ok?
Picked up an OEM oil filter today and noticed it is part number 65F ... not 9E.
I called three dealers and they said it's ok, but I want to check here before I change the oil. I change every 4K. thanks.

D40 V6 uses 15208-9E000
15208-65F0C(0) is for 2.5, both will work but 9E has a slight bit more capacity. Essentially they both are the same diameter and thread pitch is the same, just one is longer.

Thanks, Justin.
I did notice the 65F is shorter ... and a few dollars less expensive than the 9E. Thanks for letting me know it will be ok. Any reason NOT to use it in the future if it's less expensive?

I'd pass...
Personally I only use the 15208-9E000 filter. They are cheap anyway.

Does anyone on the board use NAPA Gold, PN1356? These are made by Wix I believe and usually are highly rated.
![]() I have a few left over from my '00 Maxima SE and NAPA says both motors use the same filter.

I have used these and they run just fine. I have always been a fan of NAPA Gold filters as they are made by Wix. many NAPA stores have one cut open at the counter to allow comparison to a Fram filter. Internally, the NAPA is outstanding with a good anti-drainback valve (where required), metal endcaps and excellent overall construction. I ran a Chevy truck for ten years using these and never had an engine issue. When my supply of Nissan filters runs out, I am switching over to these for my Frontier.

Since we're on the subject, what filter does the Titan use? is it bigger? same threadpitch? Might try opne next change. We used the run the filters from from the automatics when I had my Eclipse. The turbo ones were very tiny to clear the downpie and heatshields. with the aftermarket stuff you didn't have this issue so you could get the much larger one from the auto on it. curious, thanks.

x2 Reading my mind. Fleetfilter.com is the best! I usually place one huge order a year for all my vehicles. I love Napa gold filters! The Titan filter sounds interesting though.
Thanks for the replies guys.
