Bent Axle...Really?

So like all Fronty owners, I had been wondering all about the squeeks coming from beneath my truck. Everything was tight, everything was strapped down, and it was just beyond me that this thing REALLY did SQUEEK THAT BAD!!!

So anyways, I take the truck into the local stealership today and they tell me nothing is wrong at first. I said, "Go drive it." They call me back and say, "Oh, umm, the rear axle is bent." Note: this is a 4WD, so you can't just replace the axel, you get to replace the whole damn system. I can't tell if this is legit or not.

I brought it in with complaints of squeeks from my brakes, but only when I wasn't braking. Which lead me to believe that the anti-squeal pins were bad. They said no to that. Next, I complained about how my rear-end feels like it is sliding out from underneath me when i go around a corner.

Has this happened to anyone else?! The same squeeks were like this from the day I bought it. Guess it finally started bugging me enough...

yeah, Maqattack and Nizmut have both bent there, the dealer here will replace them under warrenty, but I know Nizmut is looking at putting a trused 9 inch in. 'cause hsi is out of warrenty, but you get an axel used and swap it for around $1k

what did they say needed to be replaced on your truck exactly? "the whole 4wd system" sounds way out of line. as for the brake noise, i'm not sure what's wrong there, how many miles are on your truck? and for the rear end issue, i'd be hard pressed to tell you what's going on without more info... when does it happen? wet/dry? all the time? every time? etc

if you have a nizmo it's $3600 for axel, locker and ABS.

Also, some 285/75/16's will rub (with stock wheels) with a 2" lift, some will not. (Please stop asking this 6x a week and in every tire thread.)

oh yea i completely understand (and would myself) replace the whole axle from the pinion out if the axle housing itself was bent. i was just making sure the service adviser wasn't saying t-case, front axle, driveshafts etc as well

I'm about to hit 9k, and mine has started to squeak as well. Only when I hit bumps in the road...and I can't figure out where it's coming from. My mom has an '06 Maxima 6spd and the thing is a lemon. Please tell me that our trucks are a little bit better. I had a hardbody that lasted me 239k without any problems whatsoever. What ever happened to Nissan's dependability?

the most common squeak that i've seen (and experienced myself) on gen 2's seems to be the hood latch (it sounds like front suspension)
