abs/slip light on...no 4wd

First real problem with truck at 140k miles. Baby has been drinkin gas and running strong.

So one day abs decides to activate on dry pavement while braking. Did this a couple times while braking..and than both abs&slip light up on the dash. So i have no abs(no big deal) but can't get it into 4wd(big deal)

Off to the stealership we go...

maybe wheel sensor? or bad wiring? or bad abs actuator?

How old is the brake fluid? Any mud packed into the ABS sensor teeth?

Probably snapped/ stretched ABS wire to one of the wheels. The stealer is gonna put a big rake up your bum for this. This is one of their favorite cash grabs

I'd at least check the wires around your front upper control arm (these usually go first) And the plastic connectors for the rear lines (beside the evap canister). The stealer will replace the whole sensor instead of repairing the wire.

Correct Haveacigar, your gonna go far. You can repair that line yourself or get a junkyard replacement to save on cost.

Front right abs sensor is pulling up on the consult at the dealer...

So for only $550 they will take care of this.

Wish is wasn't sooooo damn cold out...or had a heated garage.
