Does anyone have or found any info and photos of the 2013 Frontier? Not sure if this has been talked about yet. Talked to a dealership, they didn't want to say much other than they will be in in Aug. Heard rumors of redesign. Was gonna trade mine in for a 4WD and will wait if they redesign.
No info yet, but since they did a redesign on the pathy it wouldn't surprise me. If they go cvt like on the pathy, you might not want to wait.

Are you talking about the Tranny? How will that make a difference? I heard too, that they worked on fuel economy. I'm also out of the country till Aug, so I have to wait regardless.
I do not believe there are any changes for the Frontier for 2013, other than production location. The Frontier and Xterra will move from Smyrna to the same plant in Canton that makes the Titan.

yea the cvt is the transmission. I have a couple of cars with the cvt in it, but don't think it will work well in a truck. The deals on the 2012's will be best about august anyway. If mdawg is right, you won't have to worry about upgraded model anyway.

Whenever it is redesigned, I would not buy one the first year. Its always best to wait a year or so till they get the bugs out. I bought a 2003 Accord coupe when they were redesigned and had some issues.
Yeah, I second never buying the 1st year of a major redesign/new model, etc. + if they do come out with something 'new', then the 2012's will be discounted that much more.
However, I would think if something 'new' was coming out, you'd be able to find something about it now from an auto show, magazine, online site, etc...I would be curious to see what they do when they do redo this truck and let's just hope they don't go the way of some other ones and instead keep a truck a truck.
When I was haggling on my deal I told my salesman that the '13's were to be completely redesigned. He said he didn't know that. Wether it's accurate or not, it helped me talk him down on my '12. I went with the: "you guys are going to be giving these away in five months" angle... worked for me.
I can't see them moving production and continuing to build the same exact truck. All the body part presses are currently being used while the new facility is getting ready to roll. Just my $.02
