2008 Frontier price?

Guys,
I am looking at a 08 Frontier SE KC, 4cyl. with auto trans. Truck has power package, bedliner etc. Sticker is 22,430.00, Dealer has offered it for 18,640.00 and tentatively offered me right at 14,000.00 for my Titan trade in. I would come out pretty good on the deal. Is the 18,640.00 price about what to expect on this model?

Thanks,
Tim

You might do better selling the Titan on your own.

Why are you downsizing?

I love mt Titan, but I drive about 1500 miles a month to work and at 15 mpg and 3.50 a gallon this is really starting to hurt. With the Frontier I will have better mileage and a lower truck payment by about $100.00. Gas savings should be in the neighborhood of $120.00 to $150.00 per month. I know this isn't a lot of money for some people but I am on a tight budget because I was laid off my job of 16 years a while back and had to take another job making less money, so every dollar counts.

Maybe a fair deal...do you want the 4 cyl. for mileage? The v6 doesn't do that much worse. I'm getting 22 mpg in my 07 crew auto tranny. I got mine new last year. It listed for 24,000 and I got it for about 20,500 (VPP friend's discount + rebate). You could probably get a King Cab for not much more or about the same as that 4 cyl. if you looked hard enough.

Well, the V6 would be nice, but I have had many different reports of the mileage on the 4.0. I have seen anywhere from 14 to 23 mpg. Knowing my luck I would get one that got 14, which is worse than my Titan. Most all info I have seen on the 2.5 engine reports from 20 to 27 mpg on the highway. I just think for what I am trying to accomplish that the 4 cyl. would be better for me. If I knew I could get a 4.0 that would get 22-23mpg on the highway I would probably go that way for the extra towing power.

Your right, I'm getting around 13.8-14.3mpg on city and 17-19mpg hwy. Have tested V6 model yet? If so, you can get a better deal with V6.

I traded my 04 2wd Titan CC SE Auto in on the 07 Nismo 4.0 4x4 KC 6 speed manual and its funny how many people assume i did that for the gas milage.

The Frontier avg is around 18 mpg the Titans avg was 16 mpg. I love the manual, but do miss the interior space of the Titan from time to time. If they ever put a manual Tran in the Titan I would probably go back.

Bad news...The next Titan will be a rebadged Dodge Ram. So if you are waiting for a manual tranny in a Titan, might as well buy the Ram now or wait til someone slaps a Nissan badge on it and calls it a Titan. I wouldn't look for any changes on the current Titan platform.

"If you can't Dodge it, Ram it....and if you can't Ram it, change badges and call it a Titan"....doesn't quite work, huh?

18,640 is a good price. The truck you are looking for in my area cost MSRP 19,400/ Invoise 18,400. I say go for it! Try to get a 4,500 difference OBO.
