01 frontier rattle in dash at hwy speeds
i notice a rattle that appears to be coming from the climate control area in the dash. it seems to come on around 50 mph(80km/h).the rattle is fairly rapid but can change to a louder less rapid rattle at higher speeds.none of the climate controls have any affect on the rattle.it doesnt always come on but more often than not.ive noticed that the tach seems to malfuntion around 2000 rpm i.e. not record correct rpms above 2000 rpms but i dont believe there is a connection.i could be wrong.help i'm getting rattled!

I was going to say tire balance but the curve here is the slower frequency at higher speeds.
