Cooper Discoverer ATP at 6000 miles

These are the tires that are only available through Discount Tires. There seems to be very little info available on them, so I thought I would write a bit in regards to my experience.

I bought these to replace the stock Rugged Fails that wore out after 21,000 miles. These were purchased online. Dealing with Discount Tires was easy and I will most likely buy from them in the future.

I rotated these last week. They are wearing evenly and there is very little visible tread wear. (At the same mileage the stock tires exhibited a lot of noticable wear.) These handle well in the snow. I drive on a lot of gravel and rough two track and they handle this well also. On the highway they are slightly noisier than the stock tires (really not bad at all). My gas mileage is the same as with the stock tires.

So far recommended.

Cooper Discoverer ATP at 6000 miles

Sounds like a petty decent all terrain, I absolutely love my discoverer stt's they have worn really well as well. In fact I bought me another set about three months after I bought the ones on my truck now so I had another set lol, maybe I'll get some of these for my daily driving wheels, can you post some pics?

I am at work so I will have to wait until tomorrow to post pics.

By the way, I have not had these tires in the mud yet so I don't know how they perform in those conditions.

I also love mine. I've put them through the ringer and they still manage to surprise me.
I have a few updates to mine here:
Finally got new tires! New Cooper ATP!

It's been awhile since my last update, but I'm approaching 20k on my set and I'm still really happy with them.

"Rugged Fail" or not, BF Goodrich and/or Nissan would be replacing my tires at 21K. Thats just nuts. I'm not exactly delighted with my Long Trails treadwear, but I'd be darn if I was out $500+ after a year or so of driving.

Nonetheless, thanks for your review. I've had Coopers in the past, my biggest complaint has been noise. Seems like that is still an issue for Cooper.

Re: Cooper Discoverer ATP at 6000 miles

My rugged fails are looking low after 21k too.

Where do you find all the gravel and rough two track?? Just kidding, I'm not far over border in MT and do the same. I have replaced every factory tire I have had at about 20,000 miles regardless of brand.

I have the AT3 on a company Silverado and have no complaints.
