Sold everywhere kia's are sold, except the US. It more of an actual light truck rather than a pickup though.
My experiences with them have me wishing I owned one
That is a delivery vehicle not a truck and if you thick about it the US is the only market for a true pick up truck the rest are delivery vehicles. Most forgein trucks are made and sold here for us. Granted some countries have trucks made there but were made for the US market. My tought.

I am finding it difficult to understand your post.
"not a truck"
The Kia K2700 is body on frame and has the capacity for a large cargo space, open, closed, whatever. As far as I understand the only thing separating our pickup trucks from being called SUVs are the open load spaces.
It's kind of like calling a Chassis Cab Dodge Ram or a Chassis Cab Super Duty Ford a delivery vehicle. The only major basic structural difference between the previous 2 and our Frontiers/Equators is the K2700 is a Cab Over.
"some countries have trucks made there but were made for the US market"
This as well I don't understand. The Hilux, L200, International Ford Ranger/Mazda B2500 are all pickups that were made for the international market.
Haven't liked any of the Suzuki's since the Samurai.
They still make them. The model name they use is Suzuki Jimny. Back when the Samurai was being made, Jimny was the name used in Japan and other markets and Samurai was used for the USA. I think they were also called Sierras in Australia.
So currently it is not exactly the same Samurai, but a "revised" version of it.
Does this mean I own a rare truck that will one day be worth a fortune? Eat your heart out Frontier owners.
Haha I wish! Unfortunately us Equator owners will likely suffer from even worse depreciation. Just a week ago I saw a 2012 Equator Premium, 4cyl with 4K miles on it going for just $16998. Equators will likely become the best pickup deal on the market because of anonymity and no more Suzuki.
