My 1st Equator CC LWB sighting.

I came out of TSC and found this parked right next to me!! First time I have ever come across the Equator version of my truck. Talked with the owner and directed him here, so we may soon have a new member.

Turned mine around for a photo op..

One thing good - round headlights on Equator are great.

I came out of store other day and as I walked up to my blue Equator, I said to myself - "Who stole my front license plate?" and about time that thought was complete, realized it had no fog lights and was dirty. Someone pulled in next to me and also blocked view of mine. Surprised - think I've only seen 3 or 4 in last 5 years and it was first blue one.

I like the Nissan grill better, but prefer the Equator headlights. Also prefer the Equators tailgate handle.

I gotta say, I really dig the Equator front end & also like the tailgate handle as well. Those round headlights of the Equator would be MUCH easier to retrofit some killer projector lights into compared to the boxy style we have. The '05-'08 fronty lights aren't easy to get a good sized projector & shroud to fit in them, but they aren't that bad either. Of course it all depends on what you're trying to put in them to. Now the '09+ frontys on the other hand, with the turn signal in the lower inside corner, is a PITA to get a nice sized shroud around without it looking like a hack job. If you've ever tried trimming a projector shroud to fit nice & snug around that 'hump' of the turn signal, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Plus, you could really do a lot with that front grille as far as adding an LED lightbar or other off-road lights rather than having the limited amount of space the Nissan grille has because of the 'V'. If we had that style grille Im sure aftermarket companies, like Rigid for example, would more than likely make a replacement grille for it also. Look at the Tacomas & some of the grilles that are offered for them, I think some of them look pretty slick. I think if we had more choices in customizing our front ends then that would be pretty cool!

The one thing I don't like about the Equator is how they put the 'S' in the middle of the tailgate. I think they should've just left it off seeing how it already has the name in either corner. Anyway, that's just my $.02 between the two.
