I just ordered a bully dog. Should be here mid week. I'll let you know what I find.

My back up plan is I found a place in town that has a Nissan Consult service tool. They think they can access the equator. If the bully dog doesn't work, I'll give them a shot.

Stay tuned.

Good news-I can confirm the Bully Dog 40417 raised the idle on my 2012 Equator. It doesn't seem to be able to tune it, like removing the WOT restriction. i got a security error.

Anyway, it idles great now. I bumped it up by 100 rpm.

Glad it works but $400 bucks to raise your idle... yikes.

P.S. Did it pair to your truck to raise the idle? Since it won't add the tune could you send it back since the idle is changed?

Also my question. Did you have to sync to your vin/truck? Or was it just able to connect as a diagnostic device that included adjusting idle?

(thanks for all your work on this also)

Took my '09 RMZ4 to a Nissan dealer and they bumped it up 100 rpm no questions asked. Idle is nice and smooth now.
