Urgent pre-purchase pricing!

I'm looking at a Frontier Pro-4X 4x4 and the dealer is offering us $27500 to purchase it. This is for a 2012 model and it is new, no test drives.

Is this a good price? Edmunds has invoice for $2800 but I'm seriously worried the dealer is still making a lot off of this car since we've done no negotiation with them and they offered us this price.

Really, no test drives? It that common? That kinda sucks, I wouldn't buy a ride that they wouldn't let me test drive first. When I first was looking to buy a truck, I drove red frontier but didn't like the color so I drove a gray one and thats the one I bought.

Well, I am under the impression that if I buy a new car, it should have nearly 0 miles. The only miles that should be on a car is when the factory tests the car right after production and the miles put on the car when it is driven around the port and dealer lot. We test drove a similar Frontier, a SV Crew Cab 4x4.

We priced it on TrueCar and it came up with $25,716 + destination + TTL. It was just a base Pro-4X Crew Cab 4x4. The dealer ended up agreeing to that price + $155 for an iPod adapter. I guess we made out alright and we bought our car from World Nissan in Denville, NJ.

I guess the thread title can be changed now. Our family is now owners of a 2012 Pro-4x Crew Cab 4x4 in Silver.

Northern NJ. I'm near Parsippany.

Basically, I'm going to take this truck to STL with me to school and bring it back in May. From then, it switches drivers between everybody in the family until next winter when I take it to school again.

It's going to be nice not having a luxury vehicle. I can finally put in regular gas and not care if it gets muddy or scratched up! Read 4x4 capability is nice too compared to the open diffed one-wheel wonder our X5 and X6 are.

Well...dealer called us today and told us the car they sold us was unavailable. They could get a similar vehicle from CT but they would have to drive it 100+ miles before we could take delivery. Totally unacceptable for us, since we were buying a "new" car and we cancelled the deposit.

Time for more shopping between the Ridgeline and Frontier. This time, we're only calling dealers.
