Thinking about an 07 Frontier SE 6MT

Like the title says I am thinking about trading in my 2005 Acura TSX for a 2007 Nissan Frontier SE with a 6 speed manual transmission, 31k miles. Its listed at $14995 but I am hoping to talk them down some more or talk them up on my trade in.
I also own a 2003 Nissan 350Z with a GReddy twin turbo kit so I'm not exactly new to the nissan world. Hopefully I will convince myself to go through with the purchase!

Hello and Welcome from NJ! That's a good price for the Frontier and it's a really great truck. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks! I've owned 2 ford rangers in the past and this truck seems like it would surpass both rangers in all aspects. I'm mostly worried about the gas mileage though to be honest.

Welcome to the forum.
If you buy it you will enjoy the manual trans.

I get about 300 miles to the 20 gallon tank with the V6. Manual tho you should be able to do better.

Ouch! I'm more like just over 400 miles per tank with 50/50.

Yea, a manual trans has potential to get slightly better MPG (+1 or +2 at best).

I just upped from an XLT Ranger to my recently bought '06/CC/auto. While the ranger is proven reliable design (ball joints suck), these trucks are certainly a notch up on overall ride/feel/quality (minus radiator and timing chain). I'm so glad I made the switch and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.

You already have a rice burner so trade the TSX, get the Fronty and now you can be a redneck on weekends

The manual is actually rated for lower mpg for some reason. I average 15-16mpg in mine, mostly around town. I had one tank where I got almost 17, that was with a 100 mile highway trip. Don't expect miracles, it's a truck.

espo i have heard that from some people. a friend's dad had a manual trans 06 CC. He believes it is because of the gear ratio of 1st gear. He could be speculating

2007 CC LE UPREV, Injen CAI, Bassani Cat-Back exhaust, WRP IMS, CP, OME light duty coils, Bilstein Adj. Struts, Alcan custom leaf pack, Bilstein 5129 rear shocks, Access Vanish Bed Cover, Pioneer Avic Z2

First gear is ridiculously short. I only have 3500 miles on my truck so i still have awhile to go before I've tried all the different driving techniques to see which gets me the best MPG. I'm not sure my truck is "broken in" yet either so mpg may increase (I hope!). I use Fuelly | Share and Compare Your MPG to track my mileage, that is a good place to go to see how other people are doing mpg wise. There are some people averaging high numbers on there but you have to take into account how accurate they are with the numbers as well as location and other things.

To the OP: I had a Mazda B2300 before this truck and let me tell you they are worlds different. The B2300 felt like a truck and the Frontier feels like a car. I loved that mazda though it never let me down it was rock solid.
