Sup people. Just got me a new, to me at least, 2012 Frontier with the Sport Appearance Package. It has the big "frontier" sticker on the side which I am not digging.
So, the question is: What is the best way to remove such a sticker on a two year old vehicle?
park in the sun for a while and then add a little heat with a hair dryer and then slowly pull the decal off. then follow up with your favorite type of adhesive remover.
You have to be careful with it as to not burn the clear coat. But you attach a rubber wheel they sell on eBay or maybe you can get lucky at auto zone. Throw it on your drill and presto. Easy remove sticker in no time flat.
I did the same thing. They came off super easy. No heat , no tools. Just grab a corner and pull. I did a fairly sharp angle because I thought it would be easier on the paint but really I don't think it will make a difference. Try it first on the little triangles on the front doors and you will see. Less than 10 minutes for the whole project. It didn't even leave any adhesive residue. Hardest part was the decals go under the bed rail caps- so had to pry those up a little to peel the part that went underneath. Wax it all after and you are done. Good luck!
Thanks everyone for the help. Stickers came off pretty easily. Just took a little heat from a hair dryer and some Goo Gone to take of a little sticker residue.
The tough part was getting the car dealership's metal insignia off. Now that was a pain in the arse. But they aren't paying me to advertise for them so it had to come off.
No pics yet. Been raining in the nola. On another note, I just received my Hypertech Max Energy Tuner in the mail. Any of yall have experience with them and what settings are best. Thanks.
