I am biased because of the issues I've had with my Nissan but for some perspective my Fronty is a fully loaded LE Crew and I would still rather have my stripper Ranger.
Realy? wow I never thought I would hear that from you. O well its whatever.
But I came from a 99 Mazda B2500 and I likes it, just not its lack of towing capabilities and light rear end. The frontier is deffinetly an upgrade FOR ME but thats because I Tow and haul daily. 21 ft bass boat on the weekends and 4 wheeler in the bed, and kayaks and just stuff. loads of branches, stuff a 4 banger couldnt handle without destroying the transmission.

I came from an 98 ford ranger xlt sportside 5 speed and i think that the frontier. A few things that I had to repair in the ranger, power steering pump, alternator x3, rear differential, and last but not least motor started knocking but that was because lack of maintance. and what got me in the fronty was my stepdad bought a 04 titan and i loved it. only thing is I would get is a v6 crewcab.

my cousin had a 2001 ranger step side 4x4 with the 4.0 v6, compared to my first gen it had more power and room and thats it, the quality of it just wasn't there like my frontier and he had the heart to call my frontier a peice of japanese $hit.
