It depends on what you are going to use the truck for. It may be worth comparing the 4 cylinder to the 6 and figuring which will meet your needs better.
Good reasoning. If you aren't towing a lot or off roading a lot there is no need for the larger engine and 4wd. Your cost of ownership will be less too. REliability is rock solid for the 4's. A lot less issues than the 6's have had. Keep us posted on the 4banger forum as you add on miles for repairs or maintenance issues. We are trying to track any trends there. If you are buying used it still is a good idea to have a mechanic check it out prior to purchase.....if you can get the prev. owner maintenance history, that's even better.
