I've already got a 4-channel Phoenix Gold amp that I will intall to run my mids and highs. I'll have to get a bad azz pair of separates for the front of the cab. Then, maybe, much later some nicer and bigger wheels. But all of that stuff is $$$pendy.

I thought the Gibson was the 2in Y pipe then 2 1/2 in from there. And i read someone that the 3in pipe robbed the lower end power.

Any of you guys tow with your truck? I was wondering how well it would handle a 2 ton pop-up camper, single axle.

According to the Gibson website:

Part # 612211 is described as,

Kit comes with 3.5'' stainless tip(s)
3" Tailpipe

Also, at this link, the part is reviewed for performance. Looks like no low-end power is lost with this 3 inch exhaust.

Enjoy!

Mike,

I'm no expert, and I haven't pulled anything with my Frontier yet, I have the hitch, just haven't installed yet. But, I remember the dealer telling me that our truck is rated to pull up to something like 8000 pounds. So a 2 ton camper (2000 pounds per ton) equals 4000 pounds. So you should easily be able to haul that pop-up anywhere you want! But, you never know till you try, so let us know how it handles.

Thanks for the info guys...the camper is my parents, they pull it with a 05 GMC Sierra 2500HD w/ a 6.0L v8. Damn thing doesnt even feel like its attached when your pulling it. I know in NY your supposed to have electric brake controller but i am going to see how the frontier does w/o. The manual says 6500lbs so i think ill be alright, may struggle on hills a little. The Sierra is rated at 12000lbs or 14000 if you are pulling a 5th wheel. Kind of a joke when your only pulling 4000. We used to pull it w/ a safari full sized van and that had a 150HP 4.3L engine and that handled it. Well when the nice weather rolls around ill have to post some pics on the fronty in action.
