New member on the way from KC?
I'm looking at buying a Frontier in the next few weeks. One of the ones I'm looking at is a 2007 crew SE 4wd auto short bed. It has 15000 miles. My main question is...what are the known issues with this particular year/type that I should look out for (if any)? Looking forward to being a member on this forum!

Welcome to cf.. Not really any common issues with these trucks....

current mods- 265/75/16s maxxis buckshot m/ts, k&n air filter, bug deflector, cobra 19ultra lll cb radio, truck spec antenna future mods- a/c 2.5 inch lift, 3 inch body lift, custom dual exhaust, westin bull bar, air intake.

I've found an '08 at the dealer: LE crew, 4x4, short bed automatic with value package msrp 27300...they'll do the deal for 17500 for all but tax/title. Is this too good to be true? or are these the discounts people are seeing for the last of the '08s? should I try harder???

Very good deal... i would see if they will include the tax/title in that...doesent hurt to try. If not id still take it.

Welcome to Clubfrontier.
Sounds like a killer deal. If they won't do the tax/title ask if they can throw in bed extender - or at least a bed divider. If you find yourself not using either one, you can always come back on here and sell it. Known issues...way too fun to drive all the time and you'll want to mod like crazy ( especially if you spend too much time here.) Things to know about...heavy tailgate, paint chips in front of rear wheels, funky arm rest area for driver...that's pretty much it.
