Howdy, new '07 SE 4X4

Hi everybody, my name is Walt and this is how I got here....
I work on a remote radar site in AK(there now) and live in Elmira, NY. I work a 2 month on/one month off schedule out here and will be home on 12 May.
I had hoped to be picking up a new Ford Ranger that I ordered in the begining of April, that wont be happening.
The salesman kept telling me he was waiting for a call from the Ford rep for the status of my order, after a month still nothing.
I got a phone # from a website for dealers to call Ford for order status and called giving them the order info, saying I was the salesman.
I found out the order had been balanced out(cancelled) and was advised to place a new order for an '08.
I called the salesman and asked what was going on, and told him what I had found out. He fell all over himself with excuses, and said they sell Nissans too.
The Ford deal was an X-plan(partner/below dealer invoice) cash deal, so I asked him what he could do- I ended up with an '07 SE 4X4 King cab with a lot more creature comforts plus all the options I wanted in the Ranger for the same price. I think it worked out very well for me, invoice on Frontier was about 3500 higher than the Ranger.
It's Radiant Silver, Towing package, bedliner, 4.0 5 speed auto,SE VT package, 16"wheels etc.
I ended up with a lot better truck and a great deal on it!
I'll be picking this guy up on the 14th. I'm a happy guy.
My best to all,
WT
