Hello from NC

Hey guys, how's it going? I've been luking and researching here for a week or so. I don't have a Frontier yet, but one is in my future once we sell our house. I was looking at the Colorados, but have ruled them and the other small/mid sized trucks out.

Looking at getting a King Cab SE 4X4, maybe a crew cab. I currently drive a '97 Silverado, but that is going to be retired to light farm work and occasional horse trailering . Need to get better mileage than what I'm getting for my daily 30 mile run to work.

Steve

learn from my mistake

Buy a base model if you can. The $3500 rebate still applies. You should easily be able to keep the price down. Don't spend money on options and features.

If I had purchased an XE instead of the NISMO I would have saved nearly 10 grand on the sticker. Do you know how many after market accessories you can buy for 10 grand?

Basically, you can build a full on trail truck from an XE and still spend less than a factory floor NISMO.

Don't buy accessories from the dealer. Check out the online deals and make some phone calls. It will well be worth the extra effort.

Why pay for the nice tires and wheels on the NISMO when you can get a set of Welds with Goodyear MTR's for the same price? Why spend a few hundred extra bucks on the Rockford Fosgate subwoofer when you could buy a decent system?

Get the XE but plan on spending the same money as the NISMO may cost, then build it my friend, build it....

Welcome to the club.

Welcome.

If you plan on having more than 1 passenger, you will regret not having the CC. Good luck on your search and know that there are some really good deals on Frontiers right now due to gas prices. Be patient, do your research, and be firm.
