Thumbs up Another new member here

Just traded an '01 for an '06 CC LE. (I also have an '00 Xterra, go by the name silverxglider at XOC).

I'm delighted to have found this board. I also hang out at TUNFS but the 2nd Gen forum over there is pretty quiet.

Very nice site here. Lots of good info. I look forward to lurking and occasional posting.

Welcome to the club. As a relatively new owner of an old 01 cc, how did you like your's and how does it compare to your new one?

Thank you all for the welcome. I am in upstate NY. I use a truck to carry my kayaks around and want 4WD in the winter.

Popdaddy, I hated the '01 because the brakes never worked properly. I took it to two different dealers and an independent shop but the dealers wouldn't admit there was anything wrong and the independent agreed with me but could't diagnose the problem. Half the time, the truck felt as though it just wouldn't stop, and at the end, moderate braking would sometimes cause major shuddering, almost like the ABS was kicking in but it wasn't. It was otherwise fine but brakes are serious so I gave up and traded it in. It's only been about 200 miles but I am very pleased with the new one.
