What tire brand/model do you recommend for a 2006 CC SE that offers the quietest ride?

Based on noise alone. I would recommend the Michelin Latitude Tour

My research seemed to indicate the same. Thanks for confirming.

Here are my BFG's in 285/70R17. They are very quiet and ride nice. I also attached pics of the trimming I had to do to get some more clearance.

For those people who have bought off of discount tire:
Do you believe the warranty is worth the extra dough? I'm debating whether or not to spend the extra $75. The price is still the best around... What do you think? Have you used it or is it simply for the peace of mind?

Personally, and I may be bias but, I have them on my vehicles and have had to use them. They are kind of like your seat belt. You only need it if something happens. Here's a recient article that may help you with another opinion.

At $150 and up for good tires to fit our vehicles, it is peace of mind for me. I bought 2 sets of tires from DiscountTireDirect a little over 2 years ago. Traded 1 of the vehicles for my Frontier and still have the 2nd set on my Jeep. Have not had to use the warranty, but again, piece of mind.

Just bought 2 more sets of tires from them Tuesday, with warranty. 1st set, for the wife's Pathy, was waiting at the house when I got home today! Will probably be next week before I get them mounted. The other set, for mother-n-laws Buick, is from further away and should be here 1st of next week. Quick service. I am in need of another set for my Frontier, but they will have to wait til after 1st of the year. Will definitely get them from DTD as well.
