I drive to work, pull a light camper trailer 5-10 times a year for short 200 mile round trips.
No offroading, but I like the all terrain look and beefy stance of the truck.

I want to beef up the tire just a bit to give the truck a bit more lift and a bit beefier look (no new rims yet) with the leveling kit on it now..
Would a 265/75/16 be the tire to go with? Or is there a tire that is a little wider that would be a good fit too? I dont want to go huge/mud/traction tire, i would like to keep getting 17-21 mpg like I get with my current setup.

Let me know what you think.
thanks for the info
Brett
The 265/75-16 would be a great choice. Here's what I would recommend for a good all around tire.

For a 33x11.50-16, it is recommended by the manufactures to run that size on a 8" wide wheel.

Thanks for the info. I am also confused about the tire measurements. I see some tires with the above type of measurement, then i see some with 33/10.5/16... seems to be a metric/inches thing...

What tire would be the same as the 265/75/16 in inches?? and what would fit my nissan/06/cc/2wd/stock rim...
thanks again
Brett

This link will help you a lot. You can put in any size and compare it to stock. It will tell you how much the change will effect your speedo as well.
