yes. But he's running stock width, so he's running Pathfinder V8 axles to compensate. when you titan swap, you can run titan axles. or halfshafts which as you mentioned are the same thing

Oh I see. So the only reason why he has pathy half shafts because they are shorter than that Titan axle shafts which are too long for his truck since he doesn't have the Titan LCA swap. Thanks!!! Now I'm a liler mo noligerable lol.

Which still brings me back to the start of this thread. The Titans (I don't know from what year) where having problems with the axles popping out in their front diffs. And here we are taking their front diffs and putting them into our Frontiers for something stronger. And you (inyourface1650) made the point that the Titans have 100 more ftlbs of torque and are heavier and that is why the problems with the Titan front diff in the Titan's existed. So it brings me back to this. What is the year for the "redesigned" Titan front diff and would the installation of it then hinder how much power we could get out of our engine i.e. SC, Camshafts, etc. without having to worry about having the same problems the Titans where with the m205 front differential? Am I asking a stupid question here? I'm just thinking that one day down the road am I going to have to worry about axles popping out of my installed m205 on the trail.

Wow this is up to 4 pages.

OK let me first start with axles coming out. If there is a problem with the truck and something was changed it would be the axle. The only possible reason for the axle to come out is the snap ring or the axle is to short for it application. Were all the trucks with this problem lifted? How soon after the lift was installed did the axles come out? There is not enough information to determine what the cause is.

Second The Titan diff. swap is a drivetran upgrade. A person should be at a certain level before feel the need to upgrade. If you have never wheeled or only wheel once in a while I don't see a reason to upgrade your drivetran.

It was mentioned before but how many diff/alxes have broken on the Frontiers? Even if you add in the Xterra's and estimate high, I would say 25 would be the max. 90% of the problem was the input shaft of the axle braking, so damage to the diff could have been avoided. All of these could have been avoided due to the lost of traction and throttle control.

I know 05's wifes x crapped a front. had to slide it out of the garage onto the flatbed.
I may have some titan stuff for sale, since I am tired of waiting for gear options.

Looks like you guys figured it out. When I did my titan a arm swap Greg could not get the extended axles so he sugested doing the whole front diff and axle swap to keep my 4wd. For the price of those axles you can find a hole titan front diff and axles for about the same price and the autos have the same gear ratios so it's a no brainer to me to do the upgrade if your all ready dropping the money. Stick shifts are kinda azzed out on gear ratios, probably the reason nizmuts getting ready to let go of his titan front diff. I personaly had no problems will my m180.
