Rear end options?

Which would be a more feesable option for rear diffs when it comes to driveability, useage and the pro's and cons between the two? A limited slip or an air locker?

The limited slip would be better for driveability on the street. You really should not use an air locker on the street unless you were going in a straight line.

The limited slip would always be working where as the air locker is switch activated and needs an onboard compressor.

The air locker would give you a solid rear axle where as a limited slip would compensate for one wheel having more traction.

I think an air locker is more for serious off roading.

ARB is great for offroad, but pricey. limited slips are nice because your will never know its there....and thats part of the problem as well.

just one locker in the rear will help you a ton offroad. heck some 2wd locked trucks do better than 4x4's with open diffs. if you have enough money for both arb's then do it. yeah they arent good on the road but when are yo going to need a locker on the road? never. thats why they are selectable.

limited slip diffs will still slip in the right conditions. like if one tire is completely off the ground. thats where a lockers good. doesnt matter if one of then is up the grounded one will still spin.

limited slips are not much better than open diffs. arb's are pricey, but they are awesome. you would not be able to tell that you have one back there driving it on the street, but when you want to go wheeling, you lock that ish up.
