What would I need to do a Nismo rear end swap on my SE so I can get a locker in the rear, or is there any rear lockers for the SE? thanks in advance for the help

NISMO rear end, and the NISMO ABS lines.....other than that....I think you need to make sure its a 2wd so the driveshafts bolt up. But I've never been too clear on the bolt issue there. Penski61 can help you with that a little more

Shaft still won't bolt up unless you are a 4wd already. The 2wd nismo still has the same 4 bolt shaft if I am not mistaken. I am putting an m226 from a manual as we speak, I don't do any crawling so mine gets the trutrac and 3:73 gears. I couldn't find an m226 with a 6 bolt shaft. But, if you get a complete axle than there is nothing to it but connecting all the linkage and bolting it up. Talk to Penski about wiring up the locker, but it is a piece of cake just as long as you get all the wiring with the axle.

Why do you need the nismo ABS lines?

the M226 tone rings are different then the C200. So the cables are different. C200 ABS lines WILL NOT work with M226. Penski had to order em from Justin

My '08 2WD Nismo has the 6 bolt (CV style) driveshaft
Try and find an axle out of an '07 or newer. The added spider gears are a good thing over the '05. '06 is a mixed bag, depends on when it was built.

Electrical is fairly easy. 2 wires go to the solenoid, the other 2 wires go to the position switch. Done right you can use that as feedback if the locker is engaged or not. Not sure if a diff lock control module can be added or not for a factory operation. Have not tried that yet.

I am assuming you have an automatic? That is the one axle I couldn't find, a automatic, 2wd NISMO! SOB! Thank you for confirming this.

so what if you already have an m226? still need the abs lines?

I've been talking about doing this for about as long as I've been a member here, just never looked far enough into it since I dont have the cash or the need for it yet.

I guess the other question is what models come with 4-bolt, what come with 6-bolt (and someday I'd have to go check what my SE has).
