i want strength thats for sure. I kinda like the not so low range though because i will be able to turn big tires in the mud... I do live in Florida so most of my wheeling consist of deep nasty mud.

Mud is some cool stuff. I've seen a guy run a 454 and 44" super swampers with dana 18 t-case clocked 90 degrees downward from the frame. It's amazing what you can get away with when you have no traction and some 6.72 gears in the diff.

Well the swap is back on with slightly different components. I am using a hp 44 out of a 79 f-150 and a 9" for the rear. I plan on using the radius arms up front with jeep tj springs. Here are some pics of the stuff i just got from ballistic fab. Everything is made from 1/4" a50 plate steel so i don't think will be an issue with these parts.

Trackbar mount and bushing

Me and mudpunisher got the coil buckets welded up. These turned out very nice and will have about 5 inches of ride height adjustment

And some misc. stuff ( coil retainers, other trac bar bushing, etc.)

I already committed to the fall run at ure so i would say no later than the second week of september but the plan is set for the swap to start on the 8th of august and i'm taking that whole following week off of work to do the swap so i should be able to get it done in that 9 day period.

6 lug conversion complete.

Note to all who ever have to adjust wheel bearings... NEVER EVER stick your fingers in the veins of the rotor and spin the rotor to check bearing tightness... Some times the brake caliper mount can get in the way.

Once i figure out the placement for the track bar mount and get it welded in place i will clean up the wole axle a little better and give it a fresh coat of paint.
