4.10's are ridiculous considering our trucks come with 4.63's or 4.90's stock.
A dana 30 will grenade with even a 33 if you spin them.

It would probably be cheaper in the long run if you just saved up extra money and did it right the first time.
If you swap these out you'll be paying for next axles, and gear set ups, and nothing off these axles is reuseable.

Best of luck bro.
Exactly. Listen to him, thebrandon, so that you don't wind up paying more in the long run.

thanks for the input, I've considered another axle but for how much I am getting the two axles for, in perfect working condition may I add(I'm practically getting the 30 for free) I just can't say no in setting everything up this way, and honestly for what I do, and how I wheel the 30 will be fine to start off with. I don't mind having to pay for a new axle in the long run because that is my intention any way, to get a new axle in the long run

exactly! my 96 4banger hardbody only moved out of the way of itself because of 4.65 r&p.

with 4.10's will be getting better mpg, but lets be honest we all dont have trucks because we were worried about gas mileage. with 33's you prob want at least 4.4?+ r&p..................the only way id stick to 4.10's is if you were going to run 31 inch tires.

Not even.. If the truck comes stock with 4.63's & 30" tires, going to 4.10's will kill the driveability of the truck. 31's are bigger than stock tires and you're going with less gearing.
This truck will not get out of it's own way at all. MPG will be much worse than stock since it won't be in the RPM band and will take a lot to get it moving.
Wrong gear choice.
For a SAS stick with 4.88/4.90 for 33" tires or less, 5.14/5.13 for 35" tires or less,
and 5.38's for larger than 35's.
That will keep the truck driving stock even with the larger tires and additional weight.
Your ratios will still be normal.
With those ratios 4.10's should be running a 27" tire...

Good luck bro.
