How do I replace the bearings on my c200?

I have had a dull spinning noise from my rear right wheel for a few weeks now. Rotated the tires, and its still there, so I am thinking of replacing the wheel bearings since the truck has 120,000 miles now and their probably original. I have done days of research into the topic, and it looks like the axle shafts just slide out with a slide hammer, without having to go into the diff. But I can not find a single source showing if this is true or how to do it. Any help is really appreciated as the noise is getting annoying!

Download the service manual, you don't even need a slide hammer to pull the axle shafts out. They pull right out of the diff when you take everything off.

Most with 1st gens do not rip open the diff unless needed and then, most go to the shop. The members that do rip into diffs tend to also swap them so finding someone with a 1st gen that rebuilt the c200 is kinda rare.

SideNote: please remember the OP has a c200 which is only available in the 1st gen frontiers. They do not have the c200k from the 2nd gens.

Well I looked through the manual and used deductive reasoning, and the diff doesn't need to be taken apart. There are 4 bolts/side that are right behind the brake baffle that allow the axle shafts to slide out.

Mystery: Solved
