98 Frontier 2x2 dash gauges dead

My dash icu speedo,fuel,coolent temp gauges quit working all at the same time, when this happens the odometer goes from 65k miles to 99999 miles. this problem started about a year ago, sometimes everything works ok. at one time i could disconnect the battery gnd and reconnect it and the gauges would work ok until the ign was cycled. i have checked the power and grounds to the dash elec connector, is there a common connection that i need to check? Thank you.

i have the same problem w/ my 2000 2.4 4x2. though my fuel gauge still works. please help. i'd like to know if im speeding

Its probably a bad connector . unplug the connector and clean it with some el;ectrical cleaning spray .
